Cookie Policy

This is a short policy, because we set almost nothing. Dissertatio uses one strictly necessary session cookie and one cookie that remembers your consent choice. There are no advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, and no third-party analytics cookies — on this site or in the app.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser to remember something between page loads — a signed-in session, a preference, a choice you made. They can also be abused to track people across the web. We use them only for the first purpose.
2. The cookies we set
The complete list — there is nothing beyond this table:
dissertatio_session(Strictly necessary, Session / up to 30 days) — Keeps you signed in to app.dissertatio.com and protects requests against cross-site forgery. Set on the .dissertatio.com domain when you sign in.dissertatio_consent(Consent state, 12 months) — Records the choice you made in the cookie banner (accepted or declined) so we do not ask again on every visit.
Alongside the consent cookie, your choice is also stored in your browser’s local storage (dissertatio-consent) so the banner respects your decision even if cookies are cleared selectively.
3. What we do not set
- No advertising or retargeting cookies — we do not run ads, anywhere.
- No cross-site tracking pixels or social-media trackers.
- No third-party analytics cookies. What we learn about product usage comes from our own server-side logs, described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Your choices
Because the session cookie is strictly necessary — the app cannot keep you signed in without it — it does not require consent and is set only when you sign in. The consent banner on this site records your choice for anything beyond that category. Today there is nothing beyond that category: declining changes nothing about how the site works, and we would rather tell you that plainly than dress the banner up as a bigger decision than it is. If we ever introduce a cookie that does require consent, it will be added to the table above and will not be set unless you have accepted.
You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time; blocking the session cookie will sign you out of the app.
5. Changes and contact
